About
I'm Jordan Hennessy - a fourth year student in the University of Limerick, studying Music, Media & Performance Technology who's driven by the ability to create something from nothing. Whether it’s a piece of code, a visual system, or a personal tool, I’m excited by the idea that technology gives you a blank canvas — and the freedom to fill it with whatever you can imagine.
Before studying Music, Media & Performance Technology I spent years editing videos and photos — always looking for ways to tell stories or express an idea. But it wasn’t until I started working with code, particularly in web development, that I realized how much I loved the mix of creativity and logic. The idea that you can build something interactive, functional, and beautiful — all with just a few lines of code — is what made me want to pursue this path more seriously.
I'm drawn to the creative side of technology — especially how people use and react to it. I like experimenting with ideas that show a different perspective, or challenge how we normally interact with digital systems. A lot of what motivates me is seeing how people bring their own personality and creativity into their tools and spaces, and trying to build things that support that.
I approach each project with an open mind and a strong sense of care. I'm someone who likes to tinker — to push tools and platforms to see what else they can do. But at the same time, I always want to make sure the outcome is intentional, accessible, and made with real attention to detail. My personality shows up in my work, and I think that’s a strength — it keeps the process playful, curious, and honest.
In the future, I’d love to grow into a full-stack web development role, or work somewhere that values both experimentation and execution. I can see myself continuing to build personal projects and tools — whether that’s through creative coding, prototyping, or simply finding better ways to bring ideas to life. And while video editing has been a big part of my past, I now see code and interaction as the main way I want to shape the things I make
